Glasgow/London duo Holy Fool has just unleashed their latest single and accompanied music video. Entitled "Ache", the track previews their highly anticipated debut album which is due out later this year.

With "Ache", the band share a song of yearning and devotion. The pain and intensity of their desire is felt and with the emotional track, Holy Fool tells their object of desire how empty their world is without them. Lyrics including, "Tear up the agony, come feel it out, come scream it out / But if I walk away I'll ache for you / I'll ache for you," show that their love is unrequited and one sided, making the experience even more difficult. Musically, "Ache" is an indie rock meets garage rock track filled with grungy guitars, timeless pop-laden melodies and warm lite vocals. Holy Fool has created a sonic tapestry filled with elements of timeless sounds and nostalgic odes while still maintaining a fresh approach. In the accompanying music video, illustrations of flowers, city night drives and the band themselves are highlighted in a red and black hue.

Holy Fool began by musician and songwriter Lorne MacFadyen. Along with Joshua Woolf, the band was formed blending their signature sound of alternative rock, garage pop and dark country. Finding success with adds on BBC, Holy Fool is a band on the rise to watch. Take a listen to "Ache" now and remember to make sure your love is returned.
